I thought of more things I wanted to say!
I was paranoid of getting that darn bitting point! I never understood before (with previous instructors about the bonnet raising! ) Peter made it make sense. Also promised me I would never kill a bird in the daylight, which I think will make me alot safer on the roads! So Peter if I ever kill a bird, I will be coming to find you!
p.s i hope my wellies are safe

Just passed my test with Peter Blight and he was fantastic throughout. He was always a pleasure to be around, and unlike most driving instructors seemed more worried about me passing my test then just after my money. He was always early and never finished early, overall a brilliant instructor. This message may sound cheesy but its the truth and would recommend him to anyone

Hi, I passed my driving test yesterday after a long and emotional journey and i would just like to say thank you very much to my instructor Jason, who kept me on the straight and narrow and kept confidence in me through everything, I wouldn't have been able to carry on trying without him! I also would like to recommend to everybody, who perhaps is having problems with a lack of confidence on the road like i did, the hypnotherapy provided by the clinic in sandgate..I went about a week before my test and although i only had one session, I think it really made a difference.
So thank you very much to everyone at the big red l, especially Jason who never gave up on me!

Anybody who is even the slightest bit scared about learning to drive - Peter Blight is your man!!! I am 28 and it took me a long time to get my head round the idea that I could drive without causing serious harm!!! I lacked confidence totally and am, by nature very self depricating, which can be tough to handle! Peter was brilliant!!! He was always calm, even when I was having a paddy, gave clear instruction and knew when to push me and when not!!! After 11 years of waiting I passed, first time, in 5 months!! I owe it all to peter and honestly don't believe anyone could have got me through so quickly, first time and with enough knowledge not to just get through my test but to feel confident on the road!!! Awesome instructor and would recommend to anyone!

I am bored of flying everywhere... and would like to drive.
Well Mary, we have some very reasonable rates, but at the moment we don't cover London, which if my memory serves, is where you are based. Also in the 1930s, but we'll ignore that for the time being. Would you be interested in travelling down to Kent for an intensive course? I'm sure that if you travel by umbrella it won't be too long a journey.

Just a quick note to let everyone know (through the power of the intraweb) how fantastic The Big Red L is!! My first contact was with Amanda who was hugely helpful and mega efficient. This combined with charm that could even melt Simon Cowell made me feel so relaxed and at ease. Shortly after, I heard from the one and only, Jason Hall. Jason has been such a fantastic instructor, keeping his cool when I mucked up and praising me when I saved little old dears by stopping for them at the zebra crossing, and not waving them across! In all seriousness, he was an absolute gem. I got through my test with one minor!!!, this from the most nervous man in the UK leaves one conclusion to draw. You want to learn a life skill and be taught by the best, get in touch, he's better than any teacher you had in school or college. If you're willing to put in the effort, learn, progress and drive forward (‘scuse the pun) then this is the best tutor and school to learn with.*
* = I would just like to point out that such a glowing report is my own opinions and I haven't been paid or threatened by anyone at The Big Red L. Amanda hasn't promised me her annual cinema pass or a go at the all you can eat Chinese buffet, Jason hasn't promised to shed all my deepest darkest secrets (what is said in the car, stays in the car!) and Tony hasn't offered me a job!
Hi Adam, thanks for your contributions to staff moral!!
What the world doesn't know is that you bought Amanda some lovely flowers and Jason some very expensive looking chocolates and champaign from Thorntons.
Now if all pupils thought like you we'd all be very much fatter!
Thanks for being a great pupil.
Regards,
Tony

Message: I have recently passed my driving test 1st time thanks to your company, I just wanted to contact you to tell you that my instructor JASON HARDY was brilliant. He was very proffesional but also created a relaxed atomosphere. Also after driving on my own for a while now i really appreciate that he taught me how to drive. rather than just how to pass the test. Please pass on my thanks to him, i will definetly recomend him to my friends and family. Thankyou for your time -robert graham-
Hi Robert,
Thanks for your kind words about our other Jason -
It get's kind of confusing when you have 4 instructors in an area and 2 are called Jason and 2 are called Andy.
Anyway, I'm really glad you did well and may I wish you safe driving for life!

I saved nearly £400 on my car insurance through doing my pass plus. I can highly recommend Jason Hall. He is an amazing instructor. I was so nervous when I 1st started, but he soon got me over my nerves. He's also the sort of guy you'd go down the pub with on a friday night and laugh at all the chavs!! But seriosly, if you live in Ashford, Sellindge areas, look him up. It'll be worth it.
Hi Jennifer,
Thanks for your kind words about Jason -
he's probably suitably embarrased!
But you're right; he's one of our gems.

I want to thank Robby for getting me through my test first time. Robby knew how important it was for me to pass, sadly my mum never did get to go in my car as she was so poorly and passed away in march. It was because of her that I even started learning (being a biker)!

Hello,
Have been driving now for 1 year and I am still enjoying driving and would like to think that I havent got any bad habits. I want to thank Peter Williams for teaching me. I have had a car accident in the last year, im sad to say, I had my brand new car 1 week before someone hit it without checking their blind spot, but it is all sorted now, I think that was one of my biggest achievements , passing my test, and I love driving. So thank you very much and I shall try and encourage one of my friends to learn with you. Take care.
Hi Katie,
I've passed your comments onto Peter - He told me last night that he'd been with us for 10 years and still loves the satisfaction of seeing his pupils pass and gain their freedom.
Good luck for the future.

Hello!
I received this letter from bigredL this morning asking me to leave a lil something something in the guestbook.
So the story goes.......
I passed my test last summer with Jason Hall. I found driving very hard, really hard lol. BUT the man that is Jason Hall helped me out big time. He has sooooo much patience, when he asked me to turn right I turned left, I went 4th gear around rond abouts lol so many mistakes. BUT in the end I got there and it’s all thanks to Mr. Hall. I recommend Jason to everyone; he is hands down the crème de la crème of the driving game. Despite not having taken up pass plus, I had to learn motorways the hard way. The furthest I have driven is from Ashford to Rustington (west Sussex) 2 hour drive. I have also been around Lewisham, catford, and other ghettos lol. And I must add driving around London is a whole different ball game. SO I recommend that if u do go with Jason, do the pass plus because im sure it would prepare for these situations (Jason I want some commission for these nice things im saying about u, this is free promotion lol jokes). As a broke uni student now, I have no money for the pass plus or a honey wagon (that’s a car), so the only chance I get to drive now is when I come at the weekends. Anyways Driving is as Jason says a skill for life. There are so many idiots on the road, Jason teaches you how not be one of those idiots. I have never had an accident or come close and it’s thanks to Mr. Hall, because he taught me the fundamentals to be safe on the road. Even though when learning to drive I felt giving up a dozen times, The beginning lessons I really really dreaded, mistake after mistake, then I came to my senses one lesson (that’s right I cried) lol. From then on call me Schumacher I was driving great....., well maybe not great but better. Driving is SOOOO SOOO EXPENSIVE, so so expensive, sooo so expensive lol. Jason hooked me up with this 10 hour discount deal thing something like that anyway. BUT even though it cost loads, IT WAS WELL WORTH IT. This is one big testimonial lol. The moral of the story is Jason is a great great instructor, AND I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU VERY MUCH. BIG UP THE BIG RED L, I am trying to recommend as many peeps as I can to sign up. FOR EVERYONE LEARNING TO DRIVE CHOSE JASON!
Hi David,
Thanks for letting us know how you're getting on and for some very positive comments!
Keep up your driving standards and you'll eventually see the costs begin to come down - Good Luck with it all.

Hiya and CONGRATULATIONS - Well what a
week - You finally did it!! How's the car going? have you rescued it from your
hubby yet? What's it like driving on your own without my droning voice to guide
you?
Pass Plus will be a lot of fun, I can't
wait to see you drive around Hyde Park Corner and Piccadilly Circus.

Hi Big Red L,
Thanks for the letter I received back in Feb (I think now!) congratulating me on passing in December. I would just like to say all's going well now (fingers crossed!) even though another driver pulled out on me on a roundabout. Luckily all was ok though and he paid for a nice new grill/bumper.
The furthest I've driven so far is Faversham and back and will be driving to the Isle of Sheppey this week for work experience.
Hi to Peter Williams, thanks for passing on your regards - I said hello to you through Stuart. I'm glad he's past as well! Well done Peter for being a good teacher and Stuart for being a good pupil! Hope to see you soon Peter, if I get the chance to do Passplus this summer! However i'm still getting used to my car. If you see a White Mini 850 N reg (1974) in Dover and a Green P on the front, thats me, I haven't seen you since I've been driving so hope to see you soon!
Thanks Peter & Tony again
Regards
Terry

Hi there. Just wanted to get an opinion on the acceptability of instructors and pupils having breakfast breaks in the middle of lessons when time is being paid. Thanks.
Hi, Personally I wouldn't be too happy
unless it was part of an intensive course where breaks can be essential. I would
still think time paid for should be in the car. Please call if it relates to one
of our instructors.

Hi Tony, its me again. is there anything I should watch out for. I really get nervous and start to get clumsy!!! or I start to feel sick. for anyone that is doing their theory and pratical tests GOOD LUCK! AND GOD BLESS!! and thank you Tony, I will do my best.?
Hi Hayley,
Just watch out for last minute advice from friends and family - it can be disastrous! Check it out with your instructor. Nervous people can and do pass the test every day, so why worry about being nervous?
Have fun and let us know how it goes.

Hi Tony, I done it yesterday and i got it right I felt comfortable doing it. I was so happy with myself. I know why I was doing it wrong I was locking the wheel to the left as soon as i started to reverse and thats why i never got in the box. i corrected this by lining the car up to the third line then full lock to left and look behind to look at the wall to see if the car is straight and one and a hald times to my right to straighten up the car. thanks Tony you really helped me. any other advice about the practical test and what i should and shouldn't do?
Well done Hayley! - easy really isn't it?
If any part of the test was really hard, no one would pass! The examiners are only looking for a competent driver not a brilliant one. Just take your time and try to remember what you've been taught. Some people say they can hear my voice prompting them when they are on test and also when they drive on their own - SPOOKY or what!

Hi, I have got my test in a few days but the hardest thing i foind is the bay parking i sometimes get it right and sometimes get it wrong. I need to get this right before my test. at the moment i am stressing as i have the test comming up. can anyone give me any advice on a way to do bay parking. and what i shoyuld do the night berfoe my test and the day of my test. I hope i pass. I am confident but need to keep telling myself this. "I AM GOING TO PASS, STAY CALM, U CAN DO IT AND FOREGT THE EXAMINER IS THERE.
Hi Hayley, The bay park upsets a lot of people but is pretty easy! The examiner is not looking for dead central, just 4 wheels in the bay. Take your time, keep looking around and feel free to pull forward and adjust positon if you're not happy with it.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Oh, as for the night before just don't reach for the alcohol!

hey tony! would like to thank you on finally getting me my license. After many torturous exams and a few intresting lessons i can now say that i am a test driver for ferrari! i wish. Anyway many thanx once again! You just got to pass my sister now! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!
Well I'm afraid she passed, which means yet another Mascall is set loose on our roads! Kate reckons the examiner must have liked her because she scraped through with 15 minors. Talk about 'by the skin of your teeth' One more minor fault and she'd have failed. Phew!

Hi,
just wanted to say thankyou very much for the late congratulations letter - better late than never eh? well I would like to say thank you ever so much to Peter Williams, without him i would never have passed, he helped me get from a really nervous/apprehensive driver to a confident happy one. God knows how he coped with me stressing and claiming It wasnt me whenever I did something wrong. I passed last March and since then Iv taken my little (mervin mobil) rover 100 to Birmingham, Brighton, London, and on regular trips to Canterbury and back for uni! i havent crashed touch wood, although i did put too much air in my tyres at one point - oopppss! well thankyou to peter williams and big red L you do a smashing job, im forever telling my friends about you - keep up the good work! emma.
Hi Emma,
We're glad to hear things are going well with the driving. Peter's had more pupils leaving messages than any other instructor - definitely great value for money! Thanks for all the recommends as well.

Tony.
Thanks for the rather late congratulations letter. I havent had any accidents since passing in March last year, couple of close calls though! Thanks for all the help in getting me to pass, can cope with any amount of chatter in the car now, you got me very used to that. Still got the same silver mark 3 golf, which is lasting the trips to canterbury every day for uni. Got in to KIAD to study Architecture and its going well so far. Andrew and Matthew are getting on ok, and you might have another one of us to teach soon enough. Thanks again for helping me pass and providing me with plenty of entertainment on the way to doing so. Could'nt have had a better instructor to get me through it.
Lyndsey.
Hi Lyndsey, I'm sure there are better instructors than me out there! But you got me. I'm sure I don't talk that much that you need to go public on it and what's this about another one? I thought we had finished your family. I'm sure we can cope!

Jason, thank you ever so much for all your help with my learning driving. It's great to be able to drive and I've been all over Ashford(!!)with my little Nissan. I love it now. I wonder if you've given up being an instructor as I haven't seen you round for ages. If so, such a pity as I really think you are one of the VERY BEST instructors one can have.
Many thanks again Jason and all the best.
