Show Me, Tell Me - Engine Oil Level

Engine Oil Level

Engine oil should be checked regularly

Make sure the vehicle is standing on level ground.

Switch the ignition off and wait for a few minutes for the engine oil to flow back into the sump.

Pull out the dipstick, wipe it with a clean, non-fluffy cloth, re-insert it completely and pull it out once more.

If the level is between the marks near the upper mark, there is no need to refill. If it lies at or near the MIN mark refill using only engine oil recommended by the car manufacturer. See the handbook for correct grade.

Top up only to the upper mark. Do not overfill.

To open the oil filer cap twist and lift. (Do NOT open when the engine is running) fill as necessary.

Recheck oil level. Replace oil filler cap
